The City of Denton recently sent out its Residential Update newsletter. Inside, there was an interesting snapshot of how “observant citizens are one of the best deterrents for motor vehicle burglaries”.  This is incredibly true. As Denton continues to surge in population growth, it’s inevitable the rate of crime will go up as well. Car burglaries are becoming routine in the city, so it’s up to us as citizens to help our fellow law enforcement by keeping a watchful eye. The city advises you report suspicious activity in your neighborhood. They also remind us to remove all valuables from your vehicle, or ensure they’re hidden well. As always, never leave your keys in your vehicle.
